In this science fiction thriller from 1957, Marshall Thompson plays Air Force Major Jeff Cummings, based at a strategic miliyary installation on the US-Canadian border where fantastic events take place. An invisible force seems bent on destroying human life by ripping out brains. It is discovered that fiendish creatures were spawned at an illicit research laboratory. They multiply at an alarming rate and it seems their appetite for human nervous systems is insatiable. The faceless monsters become visible at the film's climax for a final confrontation with the ever-diminishing military forces. The visual effects are quite well done for a '50's low-budget thriller and fans of this genre will not be disappointed. This Amalgamated Production originally appeared on a double bill with THE HAUNTED STRANGLER, starring Boris Karloff.
