Columbia Picture's most colorful star, Charles Starrett is The Durango Kid, in this rollicking reprint of some of the 'Kid's best stories from his Magazine Enterprises run of the 1950's. Durango finds himself embroiled in trouble after saving a young woman and her son in "The End Of The Secret", from M. E.'s Best Of The West #12, June, 1954, with art by Fred(Zatara)Guardineer. Only iron nerves and quick thinking save Durango from the "Law Of The Hangman's Noose", from Durango Kid #9, February/March, 1950, with art by Joe Certa and John Belfi, and then he faces the risk of riding alone with valuable cargo as he faces the deadly "Peril Of The Pony Express", from Durango Kid #8, December/January, 1950, also by Joe(Martian Manhunter)Certa and John Belfi. Hopalong Cassidy and the Five Men of Evil GN ONLY A FEW COPIES REMAIN!!
An illustrated tale of murder and pursuit starring Clarence E. Mulford's legendary adventurer of the Old West, this book spotlights both the newspaper comics and comic book careers of the 1950's cowboy phenomenon known as Hopalong Cassisy. First, it's one complete storyline from the 1953 edition of Hoppy's newspaper strip, written by screenwriter Royal K. Cole, entitled "The Five Carver Brothers". Beautifully rendered on toneboard by then-fledgling artist Dan Spiegle;althogh it was Spiegle's first professional assignment out of art school, it showed a polish that portends well for his many years of great comics work to come. Then, it's "The Signature Of Death", a comic BOOK story from Hoppy's Fawcett Comics run, illustrated by another future great, Doug Wildey. An introduction by Mike Royer, photo stills of William Boyd as Hoppy, and a text overview of "The Hopalong Phenomenon" by Bill Black rounds out the package. Lash LaRue Western # 2 SOLD OUT!!
This book features the same cover that appeared on the original Fawcett Comics edition released in 1949 and is printed the same size as the original (7" by 10"). The contents are different, however. AC has eliminated all the ad and filler pages that once appeared in these comics and has produced a book that is all story from cover to cover. The Lash story, "Ticket To Despair," is 26 pages long. In addition, AC has added a special ROCKY LANE adventure to LASH LaRUE No. 2 making this book unique.

Jesse James #1
Great vintage western action with this thick comic reprinting stories from Avon's Jesse James series from the early 1950's. This book featured some of the best comics illustrators ever to tackle a western theme. Tim Holt Western Annual # 1
RKO Pictures Western film star Tim Holt had a very successful and long-running comic book based on his fictional exploits in the 1950's, published by Magazine Enterprises. This one-shot special reprints some of the best of them, all drawn by the great Frank Bolle, all utilizing AC Comics top of the line process for reprinting and recreating Golden Age comic books. Stories include "Tim Holt versus Red Mask", originally seen in Tim Holt Comics #36, June/July of 1953; "Crime On Film", from Best Of The West #5, October of 1952; "Doom Trail", from Tim Holt #31, August/September, 1952, and "White Man's War Trail", from Tim Holt #15, March of 1950.Also, a pair of Dick Ayers-drawn Western Range Book features, one from Tim Holt #18, June/July of 1950, and the other from Tim Holt #10, October of 1948.
