Monte and his wife, Joanne worked with AC Comics on this special issue. Also included are great classic reprints from the Golden Age of the Western comic book- Tim Holt, ( drawn by Frank Bolle) Tom Mix, (by Carl Pfeuffer) , Lash Larue, and Monte himself, reproduced in crystal clear line art just as they originally appeared in the 1940’s and ’50’s, in the pages of Fawcett and Magazine Enterprises comics. Beyond the reprints, the special focus section on Monte runs a full 18 pages, chock full of phots, interview, and historic text on his career.
