Due to an accident at the distributors, MOST copies of She-Cat 5 were destroyed before being distributed. Neeeding to go back to press to cover unfilled orders, a new cover was produced, and She-Cat 5a was born. Storywise, it’s the same as the original #5; a crossover with the “Miami Gang War ” going on in the Femforce, (issues 78-84) as the villainous Iron Jaw and his opponents make a bloody mess of South Florida, in “Iron Jaw Takes Over”, scripted and inked by Bill Black, with pencils by Richard(The Count)Rome. While Colt languishes in jail, and Cat-Man and Kitten (in a separate but related solo story, “The Glistening Jaws Of Death”, with art by Chris Allen and Mark Heike )) take to the streets in search of the metal-mouthed monster, we get a recap of She-Cat’s origin. Then, enter two of Iron Jaw’s most interesting mobsters- the beautiful but deadly team of hired murderesses known as “Puss N’ Boots!!” Written and inked by Black, and drawn by Rome. Color cover by Brad Gorby, interiors are black and white with graytones. 36 pages, standard comic book format. Printed in 1995
